We have specialised in developing several types of ink to satisfy customer requirements where often cost and printability (and hence reliability) can be more important than achieving the ultimate conductivity.
Furthermore, we have found that substrate can also have a profound effect on conductivity. In general, fine pore and semi absorbent papers are more effective than coarse papers. It is also a surprise to many to find that microporous substrates can be much more effective than perfectly smooth substrates.
If consistent conductivity is vital, then is is important that we assist you by tailoring the ink to your specific substrate, or if necessary, providing a suitable primer. Electrical properties of conductive inks are usually quoted as sheet resistance. (Which is the reciprocal of conductivity). This means that an ink with high conductivity has a low sheet resistance and vice versa.
